Marlin
Bermagui offers exceptional Marlin fishing; anglers regularly catch Blue, Black and Stripped Marlin throughout the season, which runs from January through to May, with peak months being January, February and March. Anglers raise and catch Stripped Marlin well over 120kg.
The continental shelf is 20 km offshore from Bermagui which is the closest point from the mainland; this means Bermagui offers outstanding deep sea fishing all year round.
Bermagui is well know for it’s game fishing records; with the most recent pending NSW and Australian Record for a 128kg Stripped Marlin caught by 10 year old Mehmet Huseyin after a 3hr battle on 24kg line, an outstanding achievement that won't be forgotten.
